Luxury Stay Ritz-Carlton Kapalua in Maui

On my very first visit to Hawaii in 2003, we stayed next door to the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua in the Kapalua Villas. Back then, villa guests were welcome to enjoy the three-tiered pool at Ritz-Carlton Kapalua. That’s when I first fell in love with this beautiful Maui resort. I guess you could say it was my first Maui hotel crush. Fast forward about 9 years later, I finally had the chance to stay at Ritz-Carlton Kapalua and it did not disappoint.

Maui’s Ritz-Carlton is located in the Kapalua Resort in the northernmost resort on West Maui. Maybe I’m partial to this area because it was where I first stayed in Hawaii, but Kapalua is definitely one of my favorite places in Hawaii.

Kapalua Beaches are gorgeous crescent-shaped beaches flanked by lava rock. D.T. Fleming Beach, located right by the Ritz-Carlton, was named America’s Best Beach by Dr. Beach in 2006. It’s a beauty! Not all beaches in Hawaii are watched by lifeguards, but D.T. Fleming beach has a lifeguard station. It’s actually not very common for a beach by a hotel to have a lifeguard station. Oneloa Beach is another beach located near the Ritz-Carlton. In the evenings we enjoyed the 5 to 10 minute walk to Oneloa Beach for wonderful sunset views.

Kapalua sunset from Oneloa Bay

Kapalua is close enough (15- 20 minute drive) to the action of Kaanapali and Lahaina, but far enough away to make it feel special and remote.

Several of Maui’s top restaurants are located within Kapalua Resort. One of our very favorite Hawaii restaurants, Pineapple Grill, is located in Kapalua. Other great Maui restaurants in Kapalua are Sansei and Plantation House. We like the location of the Merriman’s Kapalua for pupus and sunset drinks. At the hotel, we liked The Banyan Tree restaurant and beachside restaurant, The Beach House.

Can’t beat this beautiful beach view under a canopy of palms at The Beach House

Kapalua offers two championship golf courses. You might recognize the Plantation Course from the January Hyundai PGA Tournament, formerly known as the Mercedes-Benz Championship.

Kapalua’s historic Honolua Store is a great place to grab a quick breakfast, plate lunch and picnic supplies. We always enjoy popping in to this store.

Kapalua Resort offers a shuttle system to get you to resort restaurants, golf and activities. The shuttle service pulls right up to the front of Ritz-Carlton Kapalua.

The spacious guest rooms at Ritz-Carlton Kapalua are exceptionally well designed. We had plenty of storage with his and her closets, plus a large chest of drawers.

Our room at Ritz-Carlton Kapalua

Dark hardwood floors and furniture along with the artwork with Hawaiian influences made us remember we were in Hawaii, even with the drapes closed.

The travertine baths offered over-sized tub, step-in shower and his and her sinks with plenty of drawer and shelving storage for our toiletries. The towels were super plush. Actually, they were the most luxurious towels I’ve ever used.

Bath at Ritz-Carlton Kapalua

The toiletries were fantastic and perfect scents for a Hawaii hotel. The shower gel was coconut and papaya scented. The shampoo and conditioner were coconut, mango and ginger scented. I don’t bring partially used toiletries bottles home very often, but I did this time.

Other nice amenities we liked were the plush bath robes, refrigerator with bottled water refreshed daily, and a nice shelf for media charging. Of course, the view from the lanai, was always an attraction.

Housekeeping came twice per day to refresh the room and keep it very tidy.

The cascading pools are certainly an attractive feature. We liked to station ourselves by the waterfall area of the adult-only pool. The sound of the water lulled us to relax. For children, there’s a separate pool just for kids.

For some spa time, I enjoyed the Waihua Spa before getting a pedicure. I especially liked the whirlpool in a lava grotto setting.

We splurged on a cabana rental ($50) once during our stay. We enjoyed a wonderful view of D.T. Fleming beach with chilled water service and a freshly sliced Maui Gold Pineapple that was so delicious that it tasted like it had been soaked in sugar.

Cabana for two at D.T. Fleming Beach

For exercise on vacation, there’s a very nice fitness center with views of the pool and ocean. If you prefer to exercise outdoors while in Maui, there are some scenic jogging/walking trails. Tennis and top notch golf are also located within the Kapalua resort.

Final Thoughts

We really enjoyed our stay at Ritz-Carlton Kapalua. This luxury resort makes you feel pampered from the moment you arrive with a lei greeting.

I think Ritz-Carlton Kapalua appeals to both couples and families. It’s a great resort for a honeymoon or to celebrate a special occasion.

With Hawaii’s tourism economy recovering, rates have started to creep up in recent months. The best deal they’re currently offering is $519 per night with fifth night complimentary and daily breakfast buffet for two.

A fee worth noting is a daily resort fee of $25. This fee covers wireless high-speed internet access, local telephone calls, toll-free telephone access, discounted golf fees and preferred tee times, Kapalua Resort shuttle services, use of the 24-hour fitness center, cultural history tours, arts and crafts, resort charging privileges at select shops and restaurants and in-room coffee.

Marking the Official Completion of the Resort’s Extensive Refresh, Banyan Tree Has Been Revolutionized with Chef Toland at the Helm

KAPALUA, MAUI, HI — June 4, 2019 — The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua is proud to announce the debut of its newly reimagined signature restaurant, Banyan Tree, marking the final phase of completion for the resort-wide renovation and evolution of food and beverage outlets. With the talented and charismatic leader, Chef Isabelle Toland at the helm, Banyan Tree is destined for a new level of culinary acknowledgement and praise for its fresh aesthetic, innovative menu, and sustainable measures. The reimagined dining experience takes guests on a culinary journey of the various cultures of influence on Chef Toland, while remaining anchored in local ingredients and Hawaiian traditions.

Highlighted by a modern, hand-crafted bar that serves as the focal point of the redesigned space by creating an open concept with expansive views, the restaurant’s transformation pays homage to the history of the banyan tree in Hawaii as a gathering place to meet and share a meal under the shady of its canopy. Chef Toland’s vibrant new menu embraces that spirit and invites diners on a voyage to discover the roots of the land while incorporating the island’s most unique and sustainable ingredients. Classic Hawaiian recipes are deconstructed and redesigned with a local twist using Mediterranean cooking techniques to develop a menu that will enliven the senses through the way of the islands.

With an emphasis on supporting local farms and farmers, Chef Toland is bringing Banyan Tree back to its plantation roots, while dressing the menu with a French and Filipino flare inspired by her personal upbringing. A well-traveled and culturally versed individual, Chef Toland vows to “put her past on the plate,” showcasing her extensive years of culinary expertise in various regions of the world. Born in Bordeaux, France and having lived her teenage years in Manila, Philippines, Chef Toland drew inspiration for several dishes on the new Banyan Tree menu from the flavors and ingredients found in these traditional cuisines. As a child of the world who has called countless cities home, her culinary prowess and techniques are truly one-of-a-kind, reflecting her inspiring journey that has now landed her on the island of Maui.

“Growing up with a French dad and a Filipino-Spanish mother, food has always been a part of my upbringing. It’s a culture, as opposed to a choice,” says Chef Isabelle Toland. “My parents have always been travelers and so have I. I am grateful to be a world nomad with many cultures involved in my cooking and lifestyle.”

As part of Chef Toland’s effort to connect the Banyan Tree restaurant back to its local and cultural roots, each menu item incorporates the Hawaiian culture in some capacity, be it technique, indigenous ingredients, or a cultural custom. On the cocktail list, each beverage offered features an identifiable local ingredient with a story of the farmer or a nod to the source.

Chef Toland and Banyan Tree’s professional staff encourage guests to eat their food the way nature intended, with their hands. This is especially meant for items such as the Chef’s Great Sea and Harvest towers, which includes a uniquely selected Ritz-Carlton Caviar Hawaiian Sweet Bread and Kona Maine Lobster Lumpia. The Banyan Tree restaurant is meant to invigorate each of the five senses — sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch through a variety of delectable offerings.

Now with an expanded outdoor area complete with firepits, guests can sip cocktails and nosh on fireside bites as they witness the sun go down to unveil a canopy of stars that almost seems close enough to touch. And as the sun sets, diners will be treated to a fire knife and tiki torch lighting experience. The sounding of the conch shell will signal the beginning of the ceremony with chants that bid aloha and welcome to all.

Banyan Tree is open for dinner nightly from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A separate Fireside Bar menu will accompany the main Banyan Tree menu for an additional, unique dining experience. Additionally, every evening during “Tiki Hour” from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., guests will enjoy a savings on select pupus and Moet Imperial Champagne by the glass.

The opening of Banyan Tree follows the debut of the resort’s reimagined eateries including Ulana, a breakfast-only restaurant overlooking the gardens, pool and ocean, ‘Olu, the poolside dining experience, and Kai Café, a new health-conscious grab-and-go spot with local, organic, and seasonal items. The evolution of the resort’s unparalleled culinary outlets is complemented by an extensive renovation that included a refresh of all guest rooms and residences, the stunning hotel lounge and lanai, and three-tiered pools and cabana area.

5. Necker Island, British Virgin Islands, Caribbean

This is a barefoot luxury in a setting that’s just about as exclusive as it gets. Necker Island is located in the Caribbean in the beautiful and unspoiled British Virgin Islands. Guests can expect white sandy beaches, luxurious accommodation, watersports, top-class food, and the holiday of a lifetime. After more than two years of construction, following the devastating effects of Hurricane Irma, Necker Island is now fully restored to its former glory and looking more beautiful than ever. Those visiting in 2021 will be amongst the first to experience the island following its incredible restoration that has included a brand-new Bali Hi complex, two additional guest rooms, and the installation of three giant new wind turbines, furthering the island’s commitment towards sustainability and renewable energy.

The Pool Pavilion at Necker Island has one of the most stunning pools around. It has a swim-up bar off the freeform infinity pool, complete with rocks in the pool where guests can sit and enjoy a drink.

Ritz Carlton Kapalua Vs Marriott Wailea Vs Sheraton Maui

Ritz Carlton Kapalua Vs Marriott Wailea Vs Sheraton Maui on Kanapaali, which is the best Marriott Bonvoy hotel to book for earning and redeeming Marriott Bonvoy points?

The Ritz Carlton Kapalua is the most expensive by points and the nicest. It is a stunning beachfront resort on Maui with Hawaiian-inspired dining, spa, culture, and activities. This is a category 7 property and starts at 60,000 Bonvoy points per night.

While elegant, this property is showing it’s age. It lacks a Four Seasons level of service. The bellmen don’t always come to pick up your bags and the restaurant isn’t great although the cabana and pool service is excellent, with attentive staff free sunscreen is available to everybody and cool off mist at the adult pool section.

The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa on Kaanapali Beach, Lahaina Maui, is a category 6 property and starts at 50,000 Bonvoy points per night. Kaanapali Beach is not such a sophisticated resort but the Sheraton is right on top of the beach and there is great snorkeling. The Ritz Carlton, by comparison, is set back away from or above the beach.

The Wailea Beach Resort by Marriott, Maui is a luxury Maui resort at the ocean’s edge with stunning pools, redesigned rooms, and unique amenities. This category 6 property tarts at 50,000 Bonvoy points per night.

This Marriott is within walking distance from the Four Seasons Maui, Wailea which is great if you want to take advantage of the restaurants and bars in the Four Seasons. Overall, Wailea is the most high-end resort area on the island. You will also find the Fairmont and the Andaz here.

Of the three hotels Ritz Kapalua is the most expensive and the Marriott Wailea and Sheraton Maui cost fewer points. If I were spending my points, I would stay at the Marriott Wailea because of the resort area. I love Wailea, it gets bags of sunshine and oozes sophistication. I love the boardwalk along the beach that joins all the resorts and the little mall behind the resorts where you can pick up essentials and cheap eats.

If you stay at the Marriott, you can enjoy evenings at the Four Seasons Maui for a much smaller price tag! Down points of this property, beyond the resort fees that all three resorts suffer from, is that the Marriott is positioned on a rocky peninsula between beaches, which means that it can be quite a walk from this very spread out resort, down the hill, and to the beaches. The pools themselves are not very inspiring, so you are likely to want to try the beach. If your room is situated at the back of the resort, it is quite a walk up a hill to get back to your room.

Of course, money no object I would stay at the Four Seasons Wailea on Maui. We think that this is the best hotel on Maui. Book here, or any other luxury hotel via our luxury travel concierge and you will get great free benefits at for the same price as the hotel websites:

  • Breakfast for two people per bedroom
  • Food, beverage or spa credit of $100 USD per stay
  • Upgrade of one category, based on availability at time of check-in (this usually excludes suites)
  • Early check-in/late check-out, subject to availability
  • Complimentary basic Internet in all guest rooms
  • Complimentary welcome gift (usually a box of chocs, bottle of wine etc)

Note: Benefits offered correct at the time of writing but may be amended at discretion of the vendor.

The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua’s Ritz-Carlton Suite has two spacious balconies with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.

We enjoyed our Deluxe Ocean View Room, but for the best vistas of the Pacific Ocean and the island Moloka’i, the top choices are the Ritz-Carlton Suite, the Royal Pacific Suite or the Ocean Front Suites or Residences. The Ritz-Carlton Suite has one bedroom and plenty of space. We really liked the walk-in closets, separate shower and bath in the marble master bathroom, the 55-inch TVs in the living room and master bedroom, and the two spacious balconies looking directly toward the water, perfect for relaxing during sunset after a long day. On the opposite end of the property, the Royal Pacific Suite has two king bedrooms, a large balcony with ocean views, a fully equipped kitchen, a separate living and dining room and more.

To help find the right accommodation, contact Tori Tenorio ([email protected]), sales manager, travel industry. Note: The property is several hundred yards from the beach, so no rooms offer “direct” access. A short downhill stroll brings you to the beach — and if you don’t want to make the walk back up, shuttles are there to give your legs a rest.

In the middle of the “U” shape that makes up the public spaces and guestrooms are three tiered pools. The top tier, nearest the seven cabanas, is for adults only. Lower pools are for all ages. Tip: Just past the lowest pool is a jungle gym, which is great for young children. A handful of Jacuzzis surround the pools, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find similar travelers, if not one that’s completely open.

Shelly Snyder ([email protected]), the concierge manager, can help customize any experience, from helicopter tours of the island to scavenger hunt-style proposals. Maui has fantastic sea life, and we definitely recommend getting in the water — whether it’s for a boat ride, snorkeling or scuba diving.

Activities within the Kapalua resort include golfing, zip lining and several beaches (such as Kapalua Bay and DT Fleming Beach). Kapalua is also home to several restaurants. The complimentary resort shuttle can transport guests to these locations. Just north of the resort is the Nakalele Blow Hole and the world-famous surf spot, Honolua Bay. Tip: The cliffs above offer a great vantage point to watch the surfers if that’s more your speed.

For a relaxing afternoon, we say hit up the spa. There are 15 treatment rooms, including two outdoor couple’s hales. The most-requested treatments are the Tropical Awa Nui Journey, which includes a full-body exfoliation, body wrap, Lomilomi massage, scalp massage and foot treatment, and the Deep Cleansing Organic Facial, an all-natural facial experience using high concentrations of vitamins and rejuvenating properties from fruits, vegetables and herbs to promote a glowing complexion. Couples, however, should consider the Hawaiian Herbal Embrace for Two, an “all-encompassing tropical embrace.” It includes a Hawaiian herbal essence body exfoliation and detoxifying hydrotherapy bath soak to energize, hydrate and revive you. We didn’t have the opportunity to test out the spa, but others in our group all had glowing responses — and skin.

Be sure to book a week or two in advance. Tenorio can also handle spa bookings.

Ritz-Carlton Kapalua has three tiered pools the top tier is for adults only, while the lower pools are for all ages.

One on-site activity you must experience is the Dragon’s Teeth Labyrinth. Just a quick walk from the resort is a formation of rocks and grass on a small peninsula. The “Dragon’s Teeth” are upwards-facing lava formations, and the “labyrinth” is a crop circle-like design on the ground. It’s a popular spot, so we say head down first thing in the morning to enjoy the setting as the sun rises.

The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua offers five dining options: A breakfast-only restaurant, a lobby bar and café, a beachside Burger Shack and a poolside eatery serving tequila cocktails, tacos, Buddha bowls and more. Both the burgers and tacos were top-notch.

While the concierge team can arrange airport transportation, we suggest getting a rental car. The drive from the airport to the resort is about 50 minutes, but a car will allow you to go out and explore the island on your own, should you choose (and you should choose it).

For eco-conscious travelers, the resort’s Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment program offers activities for guests of all ages. This family-friendly program introduces guests to the natural wonders and cultural traditions of Hawaii.

During our stay, we had the opportunity to day-trip to Lanai where we got a glimpse of the impressive Four Seasons Resort Lanai. (We sailed aboard the catamaran Trilogy see their website, www.sailtrilogy.com, for its numerous tour offerings and day trips.) The Alii Suite, the top accommodation at the resort, is stunning. It’s a two-bedroom suite with an open-concept living and dining space, a formal sitting area, a media room, a library and three open-air lanais, which have ocean views. Tip: The terrace off the living space had two pairs of binoculars set up on tripods, which can be used for spotting the island’s famous spinner dolphins in the bay.

We’re told that the most-requested premium accommodations are the Four Seasons Prime Ocean Front Studio Suite and Ohana Prime Ocean Front Suites. Both have a king bed, Pacific Ocean views and a 75-inch LED TV.

Tip: All Specialty Suites, which includes the Alii Royal Suite, Hulopo’e and Kapiha’a Presidential Suites, Manele and Makai Suites, and Palawai Suite, offer butler service.

General manager Alastair McAlpine ([email protected]) tells us, much like The Ritz-Carlton, the Four Seasons has a mix of couples and families, with the majority depending on what time of year it is.

Joseph Bell ([email protected]), travel industry sales manager, West Coast, Western Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Asia / Pacific Kristy Daley ([email protected]), senior travel industry sales manager, East Coast, Eastern Canada and Europe and Ashlea Varca ([email protected]), senior travel industry sales manager, Mid-West, South East, Mexico and Latin America, should be contacted for reservations.

Book at least three to six months in advance.

The 2,560-square-foot Ritz-Carlton Suite, which has separate living and dining rooms.

For golfers, the Jack Nicklaus Signature Manele Golf Course is an absolute must. Each hole offers ocean views — although the top views are from the tees of Holes 12 and 17. We really enjoyed putting our swing up to the Trackman test. The monitor tracks the distance the ball traveled, its spin rate, the launch angle, the angle of contact and much, much more. The verdict? We need more practice. Your contact is Scott Ashworth ([email protected]), director of golf.

Four Seasons has a team of Lanai Ambassadors who can help arrange land and sea activities, such as private boat charters, horseback rides or guided hikes paired with al fresco lunch options, or fishing charters combined with dining under the stars featuring the catch of the day. A unique experience is the learn to fly package with Maui Flight Academy guests can actually learn to fly a plane and, if you book a weeklong package, can even earn a student pilot license during a visit (with some homework before arriving).

At the Hawanawana Spa, the top treatment is the Hawanawana Massage, although the Lanai Lomi Lomi and the new Sports Massage Series are also very popular. For wraps and facials, ask for Rita for massages, Kino, Jason and Tomomi are all great picks. Certain treatments are available in-room or poolside. Be sure to book at least two weeks in advance. We liked new 1,100-square-foot yoga studio, which offers a variety of complimentary yoga and wellness classes, as well as aerial yoga (which makes for a great group experience).

Dining at the Four Seasons is knock-out. Teppanyaki at Nobu Lanai is very popular: Parties from two to eight can book the teppan table for their exclusive use and Chef Hung prepares a 15-course menu. There are two seatings each evening at 6 and 8 p.m. Tip: Book the table at least two weeks in advance, and even further ahead of time during holidays. Dining Under the Stars is a very popular private dining experience, which starts with a chef consultation the day prior.

There is also a poolside restaurant and bar, a steak and seafood venue, a golf course restaurant, and a sports bar and grill.

Guests should sail on the Lanai, the resort’s 50-foot catamaran (available for sunset or snorkel sails) or go fishing or scuba diving on the new fishing boat, Lanai V. Another option? Renting a jeep and off-roading on red dirt trails before stopping at Lanai City to grab a poke bowl at Richard’s Market and eating in Dole Park, followed by a stroll through town. Don’t miss a stop at Lanai Culture and Heritage Center to learn about the island’s history, including its time as one of the world’s largest pineapple plantations.

Four Seasons Resort Lanai’s two-bedroom Alii Suite has an open-concept living and dining space, a formal sitting area and three open-air lanais.

Lanai Air, a luxury air charter service offering daily private flights between Honolulu, Maui, Hawaii Island and Lanai City, is the way to arrive. Parties as small as two can book the entire aircraft for their own journey. Guests can bypass the airport wait from their international, mainland or inter-island flights and enjoy flexible, daily service on Pilatus PC-12 aircraft operated by Mokulele Airlines, along with a private escort to the charter terminal and streamlined boarding and departure. Contact Lanai Air at 833-486-8397 or [email protected]

Maui's Banyan Tree Restaurant Blends Filipino Style, European Flavors And Hawaiian Culture

Guests will enjoy a myriad of cultures and flavors at The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua's new restaurant, . [+] Banyan Tree.

It’s a balmy evening in Maui. The sun finishes setting, casting hues of lilac and rose into the sky until the stars come out to dance together. The deep, colossal sound of a conch shell echoes outside while tiki torches are lit. You dig into dishes you’ve never imagined before, like Filipino Crepes and Island Style Ceviche, surrounded by some of your closest family and friends.

This is exactly how it was meant to be, right in this spot. After all, The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua ’s new restaurant, Banyan Tree , was so named for a reason. “Traditionally, a banyan tree was where everyone would get together and exchange or share from their different cultures to do their trading system,” explained Chef Isabelle Toland. “So the restaurant is not the same necessarily in terms of exchanges, but more than anything it’s a place to gather, sit down and be comfortable.”

Banyan Tree not only acts as a cozy, intimate spot for guests to come together, but the cuisine offers a place for different cultures to blend as well. “I was born in France, lived in Los Angeles for a little bit and then when my parents split up we moved to the Philippines, and eventually my dad moved to Hawaii. So when I was ten, every summer and Christmas break was spent on the Big Island.”

Chef Isabelle Toland grew up with many different cuisine influences, which today gives her a unique . [+] style as a chef.

This has influenced her cooking style, specifically at Banyan Tree. Chef Toland prepares dishes with lots of butter just like the French, along with lemons, tomatoes, and tarragon, but the menu also features classic Hawaiian recipes which are deconstructed and redesigned and Filipino dishes given a local twist.

“It’s got a Filipino style using a lot of European flavors in there as well,” said Chef Toland.

The blend of these particular cultures also means a meal is more than just a meal. At the restaurant, guests are encouraged to order items with the vision of sharing everything, family style, as opposed to their own separate courses. In doing so, Chef Toland and the team at Banyan Tree hope to create more of an experience for a couple or a group of people to enjoy since people come to Hawaii for vacation and connect with each other in a new way.

Dishes at Banyan Tree are intended to be shared.

But no matter what culture, what style of eating, or what flavors Chef Toland brings to the food at Banyan Tree, there remains an emphasis on supporting local farms and farmers. This means she likes to know where the ingredients come from and that the flavors of the foods come through in the final dish. And of course, fresh is always best.

“With some things on the menu, it will just say ‘Farm Salad,’ and that’s because I don’t want it to get stuck on the ingredient itself,” Chef Toland explained. “I have farmers that will call me with an ingredient list of what’s ready for harvest, and I’ll just say, ‘Yes, send that to me.’”

More than anything, she says, it’s those ingredients that makes it special and unique to the island—that memorable dish you won’t be able to find anywhere else. “Food in Hawaii is so many cultures put together,” she mentioned, “so it’s more about vegetation and thinking about the plants that were here back before anything else was planted here. I really think that’s what makes Hawaiian food.”

Surrounded by natural beauty, our Kapalua beach hotel offers activities on land, air and sea. This legendary Maui Lahaina hotel is located on the western edge of the island, a paradise Hawaiians call the “Island of the Sun.” Kapalua can be loosely translated as “arms embracing the sea,” which refers to the Maui resort’s dramatic lava peninsulas.

Combine nature’s playground, various golf courses, and a host of recreational activities on land, in the air and in the water, you’ll soon discover that there’s no shortage of things to do in Maui or Lahaina when you stay at our luxury Kapalua resort.

Children

Children of any age are permitted at the resort at any time of the year.

As Jean-Michel Cousteau says, “All kids start out as scientists, constantly asking ‘Why? What’s that? How does it work?’” Ritz Kids resort experiences tap into that innate curiosity by introducing our youngest guests to both the natural wonders and the rich cultural traditions of our resort locations. Immersive and adventurous, the resort experiences provide your child with enthralling activities to reward their interest in the beauty and workings of the world we live in. With a diverse collection of activities based on the four pillars of the program – water, land, environmental responsibility and culture – kids are swept away by everything from coral reefs and forests, to recycling and sustainability, storytelling, art and even food. Programs available for ages 5 years and older through Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment.
