These ten interpretations of pumpkin spice latte are loaded with fat and calories, and even sometimes salt

Unhealthiest Pumpkin Lattes

This pumpkin popularity has brought on another increase: our waistlines. There may be nothing inherently unhealthy about pumpkins, but Americans seem to view the gourd as a base flavor best served with sugar for candies, pies, and above all, super-sweet, whipped-cream-topped coffee.

#10 Au Bon Pain Pumpkin Pie Latte (16 oz)

290 calories, 7 grams fat, 115 mg sodium, 49 grams carb, 47 grams sugar

290 calories and nearly 12 tablespoons of sugar is the healthest option, but as always, black coffee is best if you’re looking to cut calories at the coffee shop.

#9 Krispy Kreme (12oz) Pumpkin Spice Latte

310 calories, 11 grams fat, 120 mg sodium, 43 grams carbs,

Krispy Krème stays just this side of unhealthy by keeping their latte smaller than the rest of these behemoths. Still, 310 liquid calories is a lot to swallow.

#8 McDonalds McCafé Pumpkin Spice Latte

340 calories, 10 grams fat, 51 grams carbs, 160 mg sodium

Surprise! McDonald’s doesn’t top the unhealthy foods list for once, but be careful: this latte still has more than double the salt that a kids’ size order of fries does.

#7 Coffee Beanery Pumpkin Spice Latte

354 calories, 6 grams fat, 163 mg sodium, 66 grams carbs, 62 grams sugar

The calories aren’t too bad in Coffee Beanery’s take on the pumpkin latte, but the “spice” in this beverage is actually just sugar; drink this and you’ll be ingesting fifteen and a half tablespoons of it.

#6 Tim Horton’s Pumpkin Pie Latte

370 calories, 6 grams fat, 62 grams carbs, 57 grams sugar

An entire sausage, egg, and cheese omelet at Tim Horton’s only has 30 more calories than a pumpkin pie latte. However, while one nourishes your body, the other nourishes your soul.

#5 Einstein Brothers Pumpkin Latte

370 calories, 10 grams fat, 65 mg sodium, 59 grams carbs, 54 grams sugar

When there are nearly twice as many carbs in your coffee as there are in your bagel, you may need to rethink your latte choices.

#4 Peet’s Large Pumpkin Latte

375 calories, 13 grams fat, 215 mg sodium, 50 grams carbs, 47 grams sugar

There are fewer carbs in a gooey, bready Peet’s sticky bun than in a Peet’s pumpkin latte. It’s a pretty tough choice deciding which is more satisfying.

#3 Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte

440 calories, 8 grams fat, 280 mg sodium, 63 grams carbs

Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte is far and away the fan favorite for best seasonal latte. Unfortunately, you’d be better off ordering one of the chain's pumpkin cream cheese muffins, which has 90 fewer calories.

#2 Dunkin’ Donuts Pumpkin Latte

470 calories, 13 grams fat, 250 mg sodium, 71 grams sugar

Dunkin’ offers three choices when it comes to pumpkin lattes: regular, crème brûlée, and mocha, but no matter which you chose, the nutritional information stays more or less the same — and by “the same,” we mean terrifying. There’s more sugar in a Dunkin’ Donuts pumpkin latte than in three (yes, three!) of their chocolate caramel donuts.

#1 Caribou Pumpkin Ginger Latte

710 calories, 9 grams fat, 330 mg sodium, 127 grams carbs, 116 grams sugar

This 710-calorie monster packs way more sugar than it does pumpkin. Believe it or not, you could have a Caribou Coffee sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast biscuit for fewer calories than you’d drink in this latte.

You, work, do not be afraid of us, we will not touch you. The best way to get rid of temptation is to succumb to it ... Do not dig another hole yourself.
